Тhe “Restart” Association, under the patronage of the City Health Administration, organized the Novi Sad Summit on Addiction and Crime. The Office for Combating Drugs has signed a Memorandum of Cooperation with the “Restart” Association.

On Wednesday, November 1, 2023, the second Summit took place at the University of Novi Sad Rectorate building. Mr. Boris Štrbac, the Director of the “Restart” Association, emphasized that in addition to the Novi Sad Summit on Addiction and Crime, the Association organizes educational workshops for students and recovery programs that include psychological empowerment, providing information about therapeutic communities, and ultimately, re-socialization and reintegration into society.

Mr. Milan Pekić, the Director of the Office for Combating Drugs, spoke as part of the panel discussion titled “Multidisciplinary Approach as a Model for Solutions.” In his presentation, Director Pekić introduced the work and results of multidisciplinary teams established throughout the Republic of Serbia and once again emphasized the importance of decentralization in addressing addiction issues.
