Within the framework of the 35th session of the Commission on Crime Prevention and Criminal Justice of the United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime, Bosnia and Herzegovina held a side event entitled “Strengthening Justice Systems and Workforce to Reduce Drug-Related Crime” on 3 June 2026 in a hybrid format.
In addition to the Republic of Serbia, the organization of the round table was supported by the regional intergovernmental organization the Organization of American States (OAS), the International Society of Substance Use Professionals (ISSUP), TASC Chicago (Treatment Alternatives for Safe Communities), and the World Federation Against Drugs (WFAD).
A representative of the Office for Combating Drugs, participated in the round table and, on that occasion, presented the work and activities of the Post-Penal Support Network.
She emphasized the importance of multisectoral cooperation in the process of resocialization and reintegration of persons who have served prison sentences, as well as juvenile offenders, into the community.
