The national conference “Youth Health Before Profit” was held on 9 June 2026 in Belgrade, organized by the Youth Work Centre from Novi Sad, with the support of national and international partners. The conference brought together representatives of institutions, international organizations, civil society organizations, experts, and young people, with the aim of exchanging experiences and improving public policies in the field of protecting minors and young people from the harmful effects of alcohol availability and sales.
Within the programme, research findings on alcohol-related harm and its impact on public finances were presented, as well as the potential effects of preventive measures. A panel discussion was held on intersectoral cooperation in the protection of young people, followed by thematic discussion groups focused on improving the regulatory framework, inspection oversight, and financing models for prevention.
On behalf of the Office for Combating Drugs of the Government of the Republic of Serbia, Nina Grba attended the conference, contributing to the exchange of experiences and the strengthening of intersectoral cooperation in the field of prevention and youth protection.
