The United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime (UNODC) hosted the second annual in-person open-ended intergovernmental expert group meeting on “Enhancing and Strengthening International and Regional Cooperation and Domestic Efforts to Address the Global Synthetic Drug Problem,”, in Vienna, on January 27-28, 2025.
Representаtive from the Office for Combating Drugs of the Government of the Republic of Serbia participated in discussions alongside international experts. The meeting served as a platform for Member States to exchange best practices and strengthen coordinated responses to synthetic drug threats.
This initiative is part of the UNODC Synthetic Drug Strategy 2021-2025, which focuses on multilateral cooperation, counternarcotics interventions, early warning systems, and health-based responses. The Serbian delegation reaffirmed its commitment to addressing synthetic drug challenges through international collaboration.
