On January 27, 2022, the Office for Combating Drugs, the Association “Izlazak” and representatives of the local self-government of Bačka Palanka signed a Protocol on Multidisciplinary Cooperation and Coordination within the project “I Choose Recovery” in order to protect the rights of vulnerable categories affected by addiction. the emergence of the same.

The Office previously, in cooperation with the Association “Izlazak”, signed the said protocol with six local self-government units, namely: Loznica, Sabac, Sremska Mitrovica, Bor, Majdanpek and Novi Pazar.

Establishment of multidisciplinary teams and multidisciplinary cooperation aims to establish cooperation and coordination of relevant actors at the local level in protecting the rights of vulnerable categories affected by or at risk of addiction and implementing alternative measures and programs to help and support recovery from addiction respecting their best interests. Also, in this way, all state administration bodies responsible for the problem of drug abuse have the opportunity to correctly recognize their role and react in a timely manner and provide the necessary assistance to persons in the drug problem.

The problem of drugs is a comprehensive problem, and only the interaction of competent bodies and organizations in the field of drug policy can reduce drug abuse at the local and national levels.
