As part of the activities related to the implementation of the Common Assessment Framework (CAF), the employees of the Office for Combating Drugs attended two workshops organized by the CAF Support Team.
The first, introductory workshop, “CAF – Introductory Training and Self-Assessment Group Training,” was held online on September 23, 2025, and was dedicated to familiarizing employees with the fundamental principles and concepts of the CAF model, as well as forming and preparing the self-assessment group.
The second workshop, titled “Consensus Workshop – Self-Assessment Group,” was held on October 22-23, 2025, at the Serbia-Korea Information Access Center (SKIP Center), and represented the continuation of the self-assessment process. Through practical work and interactive sessions, employees deepened their knowledge of applying the CAF model and the methods of achieving consensus within the self-assessment process.
By attending these workshops, the Office for Combating Drugs became the first institution in Serbia to begin the second cycle of CAF training, confirming its commitment to the continuous improvement of work quality and the services it provides.
The workshops were conducted with the support and mentorship of the CAF Support Team, consisting of Marija Petrović from the Ministry of Public Administration and Local Self-Government and Slaven Bukarica from the Regional School of Public Administration (ReSPA). Their expert guidance and engagement greatly contributed to enhancing the knowledge and competencies of the Office’s employees, particularly in the areas of business improvement and service quality.
CAF represents a European quality management tool for the public sector that enables institutions to focus on the continuous improvement of services and overall performance. Designed as a free instrument for self-assessment and improvement planning, CAF encourages active employee participation in the processes of evaluation and organizational development.
