Participants were introduced to essential skills, roles, and activities necessary for recovery allies. They also explored strategies for handling challenging issues in recovery work, with a focus on maintaining appropriate boundaries. Additionally, emphasis was placed on the importance of self-care and strategies to prevent secondary trauma, along with how to identify and utilize support systems and recovery services available in their communities.
The training featured a highly interactive format. Participants engaged in exercises throughout each learning module, gaining practical knowledge. Sharing experiences with peers enriched their understanding further. The knowledge acquired during the course will undoubtedly benefit all participants in their future work.
