Date 8.3.2022. а webinar entitled “Women Champions of Recovery” organized by the World Federation Against Drugs was held on the Internet platform on the occasion of the International Women’s Day and Women’s Recovery Month.
As women face significant shortcomings in the field of prevention, treatment, recovery and reintegration services, women around the world are prevented from accessing appropriate support.
Therefore, promoting gender equality in the context of drug policy, ensuring equality of access to services, reducing barriers to accessing these services and reducing stigma against women who use drugs and women in recovery are essential to achieving sustainable development and meeting women’s needs.
Representatives of the Office for Combating Drugs and representatives of the Association “Celebrate Recovery” from Bosnia and Herzegovina took part in the webinar. Recovery Champion Women shared a story from personal experience to send a strong message and support women on the road to recovery.
