Science of play is the fourth of ten topics within the „Listen first“ project of the United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime(UNODC), which is implemented in cooperation with the Office for Combating Drugs of the Government of the Republic of Serbia.

„Listen First“ campaign began as a joint effort of the United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime (UNODC), the World Health Organization, the French Inter-Ministerial Mission on Drugs and Drug Addiction (MILDECA) and the Swedish Ministry of Health and Social Affairs.

Playing promotes creativity, reduces stress and improves sleep, contributes to the physical and mental health of children, helps build parent-child relationships and friendships. Play is key to developing social skills and self-control skills, and studies have shown that playing during school holidays helps children to be more focused on following the curriculum after school holidays.
